How to publish to the client portal when margin is negative and more
When Margin is Negative
Your margin in itrvl will be negative for a number of reasons:
1. You have customized the Selling Price of an individual line item to be a lower cost than the line item's Supplier Cost.
2. You have asked JNB to add an accommodation, services, etc., to an itinerary after you have Generated Invoices and the added Supplier Cost are more than your margin.
You will see a pop- up:
You can choose to ignore the negative margin or edit payments in order to resolve the negative margin.
What to do when Margin is Negative?
Non-urgent: Contact WS JNB team to fix it
Urgent: Clear pricing problems. You will then be able to Generate Invoices and take payment.
To Clear Pricing Problems click the three dots next to Publish to Client Portal to remove any blockers and continue to Generating Invoices. (Note: this does not allow you to Publish to your Client Portal)
Publish to Client Portal
When your margin is negative you will notice that when you try to publish the itinerary to your Client Portal itrvl will block you from doing so.
In order to publish an itinerary with a negative margin you will only be able to publish the itinerary from the Client Details Page Quick Actions.
Click on the drop-down arrow next to Edit on the itinerary with negative margin and press Publish to Client Portal from the the Client Details Page.
