Managing Services in Content Manager  


The Content Manager is a powerful tool within itrvl that allows you to manage services such as activities, accommodations, and other offerings. This guide explains how to navigate and use the Services section of the Content Manager effectively.  

Steps to Manage Services

1. Accessing the Content Manager: Begin by clicking on the navigation menu in the itrvl platform, then select ‘Content Manager v2’ from the options.  

 

2. Navigating to Services: Once in Content Manager v2, click on the 'Services' tab to view the list of available services.  

 

3. Understanding the Columns: The Services page contains several key columns:  
 

  • Service Name: Displays the name of the activity or service. This can be edited by Content Managers.  
  • Supplier: Shows the supplier associated with the service (e.g., Jacada for global activities).
  • Country & Region: Indicates the location of the service, which is editable.  
  • Option Key: Displays a unique identifier for the service, assigned by itrvl.  
  • Edited By: Shows the name of the last editor.  
  • Last Edit: Displays the timestamp of the most recent edit.  

 

4. Opening a Service for Editing:  To edit or view the details of a service, select the corresponding row. This will open the Service Details page.  

 

5. Editing Service Details:  Within the Service Details page, you can:  
 

  • Edit the Name, Country, Region, and Supplier fields.  
  • Add or update the Description, Inclusions/Notes, and Internal Description.  

6. Saving Edits: After making changes, click the 'Save' button to ensure all updates are retained.  

 

7. Managing Service Content: To manage photos for a service, select the ‘Service Content’ option located at the top of the Service Details page.  

 

8. Performing Service Content Actions:  In the Service Content section, you can:  
 

  • Add Photos: Upload images (16:9 aspect ratio recommended).  
  • Reorder Photos: Drag and drop to adjust the display order. The top-left image becomes the Hero image.  
  • Download Photos: Click the cloud icon on the image.  
  • Preview Photos: Click the screen icon for a larger view.  
  • Delete Photos: Click the bin icon to remove an image (deletion is immediate and irreversible).  

 

9. Closing a Service: When you finish working on a service, all changes are saved automatically. To close the service, click the arrow beside its name.
