Changing the Selling Currency on your Itinerary
Managing the currency settings for your bookings is a crucial aspect of your experience on itrvl. Our payment functionality allows you to sell and take payment in one of eight different currencies. Our Selling Currency and Currency Conversion features are designed to help you manage foreign exchange fluctuations and ensure a smooth invoicing process.
How to Change the Selling Currency on your Itinerary
1. Navigate to Your Itinerary: itrvl quotes will always be generated in USD. However, if you have a client who prefers to pay in Euros, you can make that adjustment in the Edit Itinerary screen of the desired itinerary.
2. Select Your Desired Currency: Locate the Selling Currency dropdown menu on the screen. Click the dropdown and choose the currency in which you would like to invoice your client.
3. Confirm your change: Your quote will automatically update and convert USD to the desired currency amount.
Note: The selling currency refers to the currency in which your clients prefer to pay in. This can only be updated while a booking is in the Quote or Provisional stages. Once a booking is confirmed or you generate invoices, the selling currency cannot be changed.
Best Practice
If you plan to invoice your clients in a specific currency, make sure to adjust the selling currency before generating invoices.
Note: If you’ve generated invoices but haven’t received payment, you can still change the selling currency by deleting the existing invoices and updating the booking.
