How to Add Transit to an Itinerary in itrvl

Adding transit between accommodations or points of interest in itrvl ensures your itinerary flows smoothly and provides clear details for your client. Follow these steps to add and customize transit options using the Edit Transit feature.

1. Access the Transit Editor:  Click the “Edit Transit” button to start adding transit to your itinerary.

2. Locate Transit Gaps: White boxes will appear beneath each accommodation or transit point that requires transit.

3. Review Your Starting Point: Begin with the first accommodation in your itinerary to add transit from that location.

4. Add Transit: Click “Add Transit” under the first accommodation or point to start connecting it to the next.

5. Open the Transit Modal: A pop-up modal will appear. Select the “Insert Own Arranged Travel” button.

6. Choose a Transfer Type: Select the type of transfer you’d like to add, such as a car, boat, or flight.

7. Example Selection: For this example, we’ll select “Boat Transfer” as the transfer type.

8. Name the Transit (Optional): Enter a description in the text box or leave the default name. Click “Add Transit” to save. You can update the name later if needed.

9. Add a Transit Point (Optional): If you want to add a stopping point, click “Add Transit Point” instead of direct transit.

10. Search for or Add a Transit Point: Search for your desired transit point. If it’s not available, select any placeholder transit point and update the name later in the Presentation Editor.

11. Save the Transit Point: Once you’ve located your transit point, click “Add Transit Point” to add it to the itinerary.

12. Add Transit Before and After the Stop: You’ll now see options to input transit details before and after your newly added transit point. Repeat the “Insert Own Arranged Travel” process for each leg of the journey.

13. Save Your Changes: Once all transit details have been added, click “Save Changes” in the top-right corner.

14. Confirm the Updates:  Click “Confirm Changes” to finalize your transit updates.

15. Transit Added Successfully:  You’ve now successfully added and customized transit for your itinerary!

By using the Edit Transit feature, you can ensure seamless and fully detailed travel plans for your clients.
